Power Point

In a NYT article yesterday about soldiers complaining about giving each other PowerPoint presentations, there was an amuzing quote from Marine Corps Gen. McMaster, “who banned PowerPoint presentations when he led the successful effort to secure the northern Iraqi city of Tal Afar in 2005” that amounted to either a dark pun or a new commitment by the armed forces to pursue active nonviolence in the theater of war:

“It’s dangerous because it can create the illusion of understanding and the illusion of control…. Some problems in the world are not bullet-izable.”

For “It” please read “violence”.
